About DWI Victim Impact Panel

The purpose of the Voices of Impact Victim Impact Panel is to educate individuals convicted of impaired driving offenses about the real-life consequences of impaired driving. Through powerful firsthand presentations from victims, survivors, family members, medical professionals, and retired law enforcement and probation professionals, participants gain a deeper understanding of the physical, emotional, financial, and lifelong impacts that these actions have on individuals, families, and the community. This DWI impact education program is designed to encourage personal accountability, foster empathy, and inspire safer decision-making to reduce impaired driving offenses and promote lasting behavioral change. All Victim Impact Panel classes are 2 hours long and conducted exclusively in person.

Voices of Impact offers DWI impact education through our Victim Impact Panel classes, which are available in-person for both first-time and repeat offenders involved in DWI cases. Upon completion of the panel, participants receive a certificate of completion that the court accepts to fulfill your Victim Impact Panel requirement and understand the consequences of impaired driving.

First-time DWI/DUI offenders, repeat DWI/DUI offenders, and Spanish DWI/DUI offenders all benefit from DWI impact education. These classes are conducted in person in full Spanish and address the consequences of impaired driving. Additionally, individuals on community supervision adjudication and specialty court participants (as approved) are encouraged to attend Victim Impact Panel classes to further understand the implications of impaired driving.

Register online before attending and pay the cost of $52 for the DWI impact education class via credit card or debit card. Alternatively, you can pay $50 in cash or with money orders in person during class check-in. It’s important to arrive 15 minutes early, present a valid photo ID, and attend the entire program to fully understand the consequences of impaired driving. By following all program rules, you will receive credit, including for the Victim Impact Panel classes.

Upon successful completion of the DWI impact education program, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion. Additionally, attendance verification, which details the consequences of impaired driving, is available for the referring court or probation department upon request, especially for those attending Victim Impact Panel classes.
